Sunrise Peru is a travel company, specialized in eco tourism, social tours, adventure trips, trekking programs and traditional tours, located in the historical capital of the Incas (Cusco – Perú). Since our start in tourism our mission has been to provide the best services to our visitors from different countries.

We compare all possible trekking and tour alternatives so that we provide you with a select team of professionals plus highly experienced English speaking guides who can explain fluently the history and culture of our country. 

At Sunrise we cooperate with the local people in the sierra, supporting different community projects and donating 10% of our profit specifically to these communities en route in where we operate.  Sometimes tourists become participants of these projects, donating second hand clothes, shoes, school equipments, etc.  Every Christmas we choose three communities and coordinate specific community projects, while on the same day our Inca trail cooks prepare hot chocolate served with Christmas cake, as well as distributing presents like clothes, school items children games, etc.

We are also the company supporting the regulation program in the Machupicchu Incan sanctuary, promoting sustainable tourism in the region. Sunrise was the first company supporting the porters under a new Machupicchu regulation program that allowed a new rule for carrying 20 kilos per porter instead of 50 kilos. In addition, the program ensures them warm clothes,  backpacks to transport the equipments, accommodation and food as well as a fair salary.

SUNRISE Peru pays taxes to the Peruvian estate and also is a member of  all Peruvian Tourist Institutions who issue special licenses for tour operators. In Cusco many of the so-called tour operator companies do not have the necessary licenses to operate tours. These entities merely act as intermediaries.

• Sunrise Expeditions Tour Operator is licensed by the Cusco city council to operate as a tour operator and sell tours. (Municipalidad del Cusco Licencia de Funcionamiento Nº 002879.
• Sunrise Expeditions gets Authorization from Regional Government and Ministry of Tourism of Cusco to work as a travel agency in the category of “TOUR OPERATOR” Nº 082-A
• Sunrise Expeditions owns a Membership certificate of the association of Tourism Travel agencies of Cusco: AATC – CUSCO
• Sunrise Expeditions is authorized to take groups into the historic national park of Machupicchu. This authorization is granted only to companies that fulfill the environmental control and ecological requirements dictated by INRENA, the state agency in charge of Machupicchu. (Permit no. 110).

We are a highly organized TRAVEL company offering brand new and high quality equipment to guarantee your most successful tour. Our groups have a maximum of 12 people within the tour, assuring your total comfort and personalized attention. We only work with licensed and highly recommended bilingual and official Tour Guides. Typically, for a group of 8 tourists, we have along 2 guides, 1 cook, 1 cook assistant and either 1 to 2 porters per every tourist.
